Recognizing Women April 2024

Women’s health has been acknowledged as an integral component of public health, and addressing women’s unique healthcare needs is crucial for achieving overall community well-being.
All nine of the Women’s Centres are a supportive ecosystem for women’s health. Every day, we bring together resources and advocate for collaboration between governments, healthcare providers, and communities. By fostering a safe environment that values women, we break down barriers to access, reduce stigma, and promote holistic health and well-being for women throughout rural Nova Scotia. So during April, join us as we raise awareness around World Health, Denim Day, Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and take part in a local StartbyBelieving Campaign.
