June brings a tapestry of global observances, starting with the Global day  of Parents on June 1st, coinciding with International Children’s Day, honouring the pivotal roles of mothers and fathers in nurturing and educating children. Concurrently, National Health and Fitness Day underscores the importance of healthy lifestyle choices, aiming to make Canada the fittest nation. World Day Against Child Labour on June 12th sheds light on the urgent need to eradicate exploitative labour practices, emphasizing children’s rights to education and protection. Elder Abuse Day on June 15th urges collective responsibility in preventing elder abuse, while Juneteenth Day on June 19th commemorates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States, underscoring the ongoing quest for equality and justice.
